On Sorcerous Ways...
	Corodin of Argentrock

A blood red book with a title emblazoned in fiery letters.

"Foreword: Sorcery is the magic of Fire. Destruction is the Sorcerer's
bailiwick. Being first and foremost an Adept Theurgist of the Order of
Enlightenment, I find it hard to reconcile this power with my training as a
healer. However, were it not for the Cabal's efforts, our island would have
long since perished beneath the ash and lava pouring from the volcano. Some of
my Acolytes feel that having this power gives us an elevated status. I cannot
agree. Our power gives us the ability to fulfill a duty to our people. No more,
no less."

The *candle* is the key focus in *Sorcery*, guiding the *Sorcerer*'s will upon
the enchantment he wishes to cast. Even the most powerful Sorcerers require
candles in order to energize their most potent spells. The spell /In Flam/ is
too easily dismissed by young *Acolytes* as inconsequential, when in fact it
may be the reason they cannot aspire to greater heights.

But perhaps this is for the better... woe befall those who try to *summon*
*daemons* without proper precautions!

*Fire Shield* (/In Flam An Por/)
Bathes the *Sorcerer* in a corona of magical flames that ward off all other
fires of a magical nature. The spell's duration is short, however, so it is
only usable as a *quick shield* and not as long-term protection.

One of the few Sorcerous spells which are not purely offensive, this spell,
being quick to cast, is a potent defensive measure especially against evil
creatures who can control magical fire, such as *daemons* and their ilk.
